The Big Leap
Planning Permission Application
Rewind to 2021. For our family, it wasn't about new gadgets; it was about taking the biggest leap towards our dream: applying for planning permission for our campsite. This wasn't a casual decision. Imagine kitchen table debates, late-night spreadsheets, and the kids' excited drawings of treehouses. We loved camping, but turning a passion into a business? That was a different beast.
The "what ifs" were huge: What if the council said no? What if it didn't work? But the kids' excitement and the peace we found in nature always pushed those anxieties aside.
The application itself was a crash course in bureaucracy: maps, surveys, detailed drawings. It felt monumental, a true family effort fueled by tea and biscuits. Submitting that hefty package felt like sending a piece of our future into the unknown. A mix of relief and anticipation washed over us. We knew it wouldn't be quick, but there was a quiet confidence. 2021 officially marked the start of our campsite journey. We can't wait to share what happened next!
